Thanks For Giving

Lately I have been thinking a lot about restoration. The tides of our culture  continually shift, yet we know that God stays the same. As we watch so many aspects of our communities struggle with uncertainty, it is more clear than ever before that churches, families and schools must unite in purpose to faithfully train and nurture our future generations.  We are instructed in Ephesians 4:14-16, that we must follow the word of God "so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes.  Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into Him who is the head, into Christ,  from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love."

Firm Foundations Academy is an explicitly Christian program in the business of restoration. Each morning we are teaching our students to read and sing the psalms and hymns of old, and thus we are restoring our Christian heritage. As we pray together for our community we are restoring our relationship with the Lord and recognizing our reliance on His provision. Our students see the centrality of the Lord in the study of science, math, history, art, music, and language.  As we show them how to  “take every thought captive," we are restoring our culture and preparing the next generation to live out and advance the Gospel!

Firm Foundations Academy, currently serving 50 students in grades 1-10, reaches a diverse student population. Our students represent a variety of abilities and backgrounds. They are energetic, enthusiastic, and eager. All students have found a safe haven of support and a community of teachers who work to encourage them. In just a few weeks we have watched shy students lead class discussions, we have watched those with anxiety find freedom from their stress, and have seen the fruits of our mission, which is that our program will equip all of our students for success, and prepare them to spread the Gospel throughout their lives, bring encouragement to families, and cultivate hope among our learning community while infusing our classrooms with joy, wonder, and compassion.

This year we are running our "Thanks For Giving" campaign from November 1st-December 31st to support and grow our hybrid program and establish a scholarship fund for our educational and therapeutic services, which serve FFA students and the community at large. As you know, funding Chrisitian education is a large task, but we are setting the bar high because we know the importance and value of this work. We know that a restorative education will give students hope, build their resilience, and prepare them for a lifetime of learning.

Will you partner with us as we equip our students, encourage our community, and cultivate hope in the lives of our families?
